High-performance waterproof jacket for winter sports
With the Welcome 3L Jacket from Picture you can head up into the snowy mountains and onto the ski slopes in winter! It is made from three-layer stretch fabric with an integrated Dryplay membrane. This weatherproof design ensures that snow and cold headwinds are reliably blocked on speedy descents. In addition, the jacket leaves you enough freedom of movement so that you feel completely comfortable while skiing or snowboarding.
Consists partly of polyester fibres produced via the bio-sourcing process
A special feature of the functional ski jacket is the fact that 44% of the polyester fibres were produced using the so-called Bio-Sourcing process. In the case of this ski jacket, that means having produced a fabric that, according to the manufacturer, is partly made from plant material such as sugar cane or castor beans. In general, plants containing sucrose or starch can be converted into bio-monoethylene glycol (bio-MEG) to replace conventional petroleum-based MEG. Because this MEG is a component of polyester. This contributes to reducing the environmentally harmful dependence on fossil fuels, in this case oil.
The remaining part of the jacket is made of recycled polyester fibres to avoid creating even more plastic waste. All in all, you get a jacket that is produced in an environmentally conscious way, which does not lose anything in terms of functionality and performance due to this type of production.
