The Barryvox Package Light from Mammut is a compact and lightweight complete avalanche transceiver set that focuses on weight and space savings. So it fits easily into your backpack, no matter whether you are on a day ski tour or a high altitude tour from hut to hut.


The core of the Barryvox Package Light is the avalanche transceiver Barryvox, which comes with numerous well thought-out functions. These are primarily designed to make the avalanche procedure as simple and intuitive as possible. The SmartLock function prevents the device from being accidentally switched off as well as switching between transmit and search mode. The illuminated screen shows the searcher the direction, distance and number of buried subjects. Acoustic signals support the optical search, while the marking function facilitates the rescue of several buried subjects. Thanks to the Auto Revert function, the avalanche transceiver detects post-avalanches and switches to transmit mode. The reverse function prevents a 180 degree search. The W-Link communication channel increases search performance and enables fleet management.


The avalanche probe Probe 240 Short and the avalanche shovel Alugator Light are used as soon as the locating is done thanks to Barryvox. The lightweight probe consists of seven aluminium segments that can be folded into a compact pack size. The time-saving telescopic system with internal tension cord, the one-sided scale for the exact determination of the burial depth, the glove-compatible operation, the drop-shaped tip for effortless probing and the emergency plan in the probe sheath are part of their successful equipment. The lightweight avalanche shovel Alugator Light comes with scoop function for shovelling, cut function for cutting out snow and fixing holes for building snow anchors or rescue sleds.
