Extreme expedition boots with an integrated thermal system
If you’re looking for warm boots for arctic expeditions, for extreme heights and extremely cold temperatures, the Phantom 8000 Thermic HD expedition boots from Scarpa might be just right. They consist of a double-shoe construction and have an integrated, battery-operated heating system.
Double shoe construction
The high gaiters with waterproof YKK zips keep your calves and shins warm and dry. They are equipped with an absolutely waterproof and breathable HDry membrane and a PrimaLoft Gold insulation. In addition, the activation button for the heated insole is located on the collar. It is cleverly placed and large enough to be operated effortlessly even when wearing thick gloves.
Removable inner boot
The inner boot is made of an insulating microfibre material and can be easily removed. This is very practical when changing between tent and outdoor area and also makes it easier to dry these boots. The comfortable quick lacing system and the hook-and-loop fasteners enable you to optimally adjust the fit of these boots to your liking. The proven SockFit from Scarpa makes them even more comfortable and stable.
Integrated thermal system
A special feature is the special Therm-IC technology, an integrated thermal system for the insoles that keeps your feet warm in extreme situations. You can activate it by pressing a button on the edge of the boots and its batteries are rechargeable.
