Packed with clever features, the Petzl IKO is a high-tech head torch that delivers 350 lumens while weighing just 90 g, including three AAA batteries.

Its distinctive design centres on the specially developed AIRFIT headband. The battery pack sits at the back of the head for a well-balanced, ergonomic fit. The semi-rigid headband offers plenty of adjustment and is made from a water-repellent material, with only narrow sections in contact with the head. This design reduces air circulation during sweaty activities such as trail running. The IKO is also compatible with all Petzl climbing helmets, making it an ideal companion for almost every form of mountaineering. From demanding multi-pitch climbs with overnight stays on the face to long alpine routes starting at first light, it provides the excellent illumination needed on mixed terrain.

At the heart of the IKO is an ultra-slim lamp unit with multiple LEDs. These provide even light distribution, with a choice of two beam patterns — flood or mixed — and three white-light modes for comfortable visibility. A single central switch makes it easy to select the settings and also activates the transport lock. The lock function prevents the torch from switching on accidentally, for example while stowed in your rucksack.

The IKO comes with three AAA batteries and, thanks to Hybrid Concept, is also compatible with the Petzl CORE rechargeable battery. An LED indicator shows the remaining battery level whenever the torch is switched on or off. Its versatility goes well beyond use as a head torch: you can wear it around your neck or turn it into a lantern using the small carrying pouch supplied.
