Extra large crash pad with a comfortable carrying system
The giant Incubator FTS crash pad from Ocun is a true master of metamorphosis! Fully unfolded, it creates a gigantic landing surface of more than 2 square metres on the crag. Worn on the back, this crash pad is incredibly compact - its two side wings are folded inwards, then the pad is rolled into a semicircle to form a wrap. This is very gentle on the foam core, which doesn’t develop any creases so the pad always lies nice and flat. Your feet are also happy because the large flat surface effectively protects them from twisted ankles when you jump down.
Longer approaches to the crag are no problem with the Incubator FTS, thanks to its comfortable carrying system. Padded, adjustable shoulder straps and a hip belt distribute the weight of the pad evenly across your body. Plus, the carrying system can be stowed inside the pad so that it stays nice and clean while bouldering. Optionally, the pad can also be worn over the shoulder with a long strap.
Soft landings guaranteed
Three different layers of foam within the Incubator FTS ensure that the boulderer lands as gently as possible. On top, there is 20 mm of PE foam, followed by a 70 mm thick FTS (foam tube suspension) absorption block and a 15 mm thick PE foam layer on the bottom. In addition, an integrated shoe scraper and an extra grip loop for quickly moving the pad on the ground round off the complete carefree package for boulderers. With the Incubator FTS crash pad from Ocun, nothing stands in the way of a successful day’s bouldering!
