This system ensures that the wrist straps are always in the correct position and that the poles are held securely in the palms of your hands. In the event of a fall, the system can quickly disengage and separate the loop from the pole, preventing injury. The pole itself is made of carbon and is therefore not only light, but also relatively stiff.
