The Ice Axe 200 reflects the entire historical development of the ice axe, from the worker's axe to the mountaineer's axe all the way to the ice axe of today.
The Ice Axe 200 is by no means just a decorative item, even though it would look great on a wall! Its hot-forged, crescent-shaped, stainless steel pick has sharp teeth and is well suited for cutting steps. The shaft is made of aged ash wood, which gives it some nice grip and natural shock absorption. When used for walking, it has a balanced feel in the hand, and its pointy spike at the shaft end provides grip and stability.
