Extremely durable on the move

The Orion II Extreme from Exped is a lightweight and very stable 2-person tent for alpine tours, expeditions and long trekking tours! Its sophisticated mix of materials and highly efficient construction can withstand the high demands of even the most challenging tours. While the outer and inner tents are made from fine, lightweight yet very strong ripstop nylon, the groundsheet is made from coarser nylon for reliable protection against moisture, dirt and abrasion.

The ingenious design of the Orion tent makes it very storm resistant, with the ridge pole reaching all the way to the ground, and it will stand on its own without any guy points. At the same time, the design provides a high interior with relatively steep sidewalls, which makes living in the tent very comfortable in terms of weight and pack size.

Maximum efficiency and yet plenty of comfort

The two vestibules of the Orion II Extreme offer sufficient protected storage space and easily accessible entrance areas. The pole bases are designed for two different pole sets and the three Dyneema guy lines come pre-assembled. This makes it even faster and more flexible to assemble. The tried-and-tested DAC frame is also lightweight, robust and easy to use.

As part of Exped's Extreme range, the Orion II is characterised by its particular robustness and durability. Quick and easy to set up thanks to the poles in the flysheet, it also offers a high degree of flexibility and is suitable for many different types of demanding activities.
