For ultralight trekking and bikepacking with two to three people, the Lyra III Extreme 3-person tent from Exped is the perfect choice. With a total weight of just over 2 kg and a pack size of 46 x 15 cm, this lightweight trekking tent can be transported with ease on a luggage rack or walking backpack. The weatherproof tent is equipped with a silicone coating on both sides of the outer fabric, but can also be set up as an airy mosquito tent without the outer tent.

Extremely lightweight tent for trekking and bikepacking

The freestanding inner tent combines 15D ripstop nylon and air-permeable 15D no-see-um mosquito netting. Plus, the high edges provide good wind protection and privacy when the tent is pitched without an outer tent or with the outer tent rolled up on one side. This makes the Lyra III Extreme tent a particularly flexible accommodation and shelter that can also be pitched for an ideal mosquito-free lunch break. As a functional 3-season tent, the Exped trekking tent always offers the right pitching option for your needs - regardless of whether it’s raining, windy or simply hot.

In addition, the lightweight dome is supported by a high-quality aluminium frame from DAC. The DAC Featherlite NSL 9 mm TH72M poles are quickly connected to the tent using a clip system. The 215 x 160 cm sleeping area has a large entrance on each long side, adjoined by a 60 cm deep vestibule. Walking boots, trekking backpacks and other equipment can be comfortably stored inside it and are perfectly protected from the elements.
