Produktbeskrivning
Bivy bag for dedicated bivouac fans all year round
A bivvy bag like the Exped Bivybag 100% Ventair is something many experienced bivouac fans used to dream of: made entirely from three-layer Ventair like a hardshell jacket, making it highly breathable, waterproof and lightweight. With a hydrostatic head comparable to that of a good tent floor. Cut extra wide with an extra-wide zipped entrance for easy access. And thanks to the hook-and-loop closure and water-stop flap, it keeps moisture out.
Made from high-performance material
The biggest advantage of this highly functional Bivybag 100% Ventair is already in the name: 100% Ventair – three-layer. This means you can turn around at night inside the fully breathable bivvy bag without condensation forming. So on winter bivouacs, you no longer wake up to a thick layer of frost between the bivvy bag and sleeping bag like in the past. The generously cut, roll-up hood is reinforced with aluminium wire so that it does not stick to your head even in heavy rain. People who wear glasses particularly appreciate this feature. The bivvy bag, including its 3D footbox, is also cut extra wide, allowing you to turn around easily inside your sleeping bag and even bring wet clothing or shoes inside. One major advantage of a waterproof, breathable bivvy bag such as the Bivybag 100% Ventair from Exped is that wet clothing brought inside can dry thanks to the body heat you give off. This works relatively well with technical clothing.
In addition, the Bivybag 100% Ventair is made from environmentally friendly material. Ventair now replaces the former eVent material, whose ePTFE membrane is not environmentally friendly. By contrast, the Ventair membrane consists of a tangled network of ultra-fine fibres in the nanometre range, which keeps large water droplets out while allowing vapour and air to pass through freely.
If you enjoy bivouacking, this highly functional bivvy bag from Exped is definitely worth a closer look. The value for money is right: This level of functionality comes at a price – just like a premium technical jacket.
