A legend goes into the second round - DMM Dragon 2!
With the Dragon 2, the product designers have done something very special - they’ve made something perfect even better. The DMM Dragon Cam is not a favourite on the climbing scene for nothing. Alpinists, sport climbers and traditional climbers swear by cams from the Welsh silversmith DMM. Granite, chalk or sandstone, thanks to the choice of eight sizes, you’ll always find a good place for your Dragon 2.
### The hard facts:
The Dragon 2 is an active cam with dual axle system and simple stem. This construction weighs less than a two-stem-cam and also offers the advantage of a passive placement option (cam laid as a nut, not actively set in the gap). The big advantage of the Dragon 2 are the hot-forged cam lobes. The surface in contact with the rock is CNC-machined and fitted with a Tripe Grip Structure. This enables the lobes to find purchase on even the smallest rock structures and not move into the cracks so easily. The 8 mm Dynatec dogbone can be used in either short or long. At the same time you can prolong your belay to straighten the rope course, without taking additional Express slings or dogbones. So you can save that decisive weight on difficult routes and long alpine tours!
