Produktbeskrivning
Ice climbing in steep and difficult terrain, delicate hooks on fine tubular structures and ice, as well as an effortless, precise placement with every stroke - these are the specialties of the Apex ice tool from DMM.
The strongly curved shaft ensures that the pick finds enough grip even in the overhanging ice. It is rubberised at the bottom and has two removable hand rests, which allow different grip positions and hand changes on the device. The upper part of the shaft can be made even more grippy with the supplied roll of Grip Tape. If you would like to use hand straps, you can attach them to the head of the device, here, a large hole is provided.
When hitting the ice, the Apex has great balance and at the same time a lot of pull, which is also ensured by the already mounted pick weights on the pick. They can be easily unscrewed for use in mixed climbing and drying tools. The switch system for pick, shovel and hammer head offers great versatility. The pick and shaft have a type 2 equipment certification, so it is possible to lever properly when climbing without the equipment breaking.
Bring on the winter - and with DMM's Apex, it will be an ice climbing dream!
