Featuring a strongly curved shaft, picks will easily find sufficient support on overhanging cauliflowers. As for the bottom of the shaft, it is rubberised and has two removable hand rests, allowing different grip positions and placements of the hands. If you would like to use hand straps, you can attach them to the head of the device.
In addition, the Apex features pick weights on the head of the axe to guarantee the perfect balance and swing weight in different conditions. However, these weights can easily be removed for use during mixed climbing and dry tooling. Plus, the switch system for picks, shovel and hammer head allows for great versatility. And now for the icing on the cake: the certified type 2 picks and shaft allow for easy leverage. So, you won’t need to worry about your ice tool breaking.
