Multifunction ascender with pulley for alpine mountaineering, rescue and rope access

The Cric ascender from Climbing Technology is robust, functional and intuitive. It can be used in four different ways: as an ascender, pulley, rope clamp / pulley or recovery pulley.

• Its versatility, compactness and ease of use reduce the time, material and space required to perform certain manoeuvres
• Enables ascent on a rope in accordance with EN 567 / EN 12841-B standards (in ascent mode)
• Can be used as a simple pulley for lifting or moving a load in accordance with EN 12278 (in pulley mode)
• The integrated ball-bearing pulley can be used for an easier ascent on a rope or for lifting a person without the aid of additional connecting elements (in rope clamp / pulley mode)
• Enables the direct recovery of a load, the creation of pulley systems and the lifting or self-hoisting of a person, e.g. in the event of a fall into a crevasse (in recovery mode)
• In pulley mode, the rope can slide freely in both directions, while in recovery mode it can only slide freely in one direction and locks in the other
• In recovery mode, the recovered load can be lowered by operating the special lanyard that is connected to the equipment cam
• The ergonomic opening allows for a quick connection to your rope in the desired mode by means of an intuitive knob, even while wearing gloves or in adverse conditions
• The steel cam is equipped with a set of teeth that protects the rope from wear and also effectively blocks it. Plus, the cam has two grooves to reduce the accumulation of dirt and maintain effective locking of the rope in all conditions (muddy rope, frozen, etc.)
