Hi Sören,
It cannot be that the rope you have received is 9 years old as we only received stock of those this year for the first time. It's worth investigating though. I think it could be a misunderstanding of the information on the Beal label. On the label you will see a simple drwaing / diagram of a factory and the production date MM/YY will be printed beside it.
