The VE 25 3-person tent by The North Face has little in common with normal camping or trekking tents. The 70D nylon base provides protection with a hydrostatic head of 10,000 mm, while the flysheet is made of lightweight and sturdy 40D nylon. An entrance area that can be used on both sides is especially practical. It opens to one or both sides, but is always well-secured via the securely anchored middle section with window. Only the leeward entrance can be opened in strong winds, and always provides good wind protection for cooking or snow melting. Silicone and PU coatings also protect expedition members against rain and snow in The North Face tent. The VE 25 has a cleverly devised ventilation system for a pleasant supply of fresh air. Numerous attachment options and inside pockets are available for keeping the inside of the tent organised. The VE 25 is quick to erect and to guy. With space for 3 people, each person on the expedition can calculate proportionally just over 1 kg for an expedition tent that is able to cope with extreme conditions and doesn’t even weigh 4500 kg.
